ave you ever heard of the Gallo Gun? This thing is pretty simple – it’s a CO2 gun (compressed air) that blasts out your clogged condensate lines (on a fridge or A/C) without the nasty chemicals or mess. I’m pretty impressed with it – and I’m sad to report that I found out that it existed when the HVAC technician charged me $65/an hour to use it on my clogged condensate line. Why is that so sad? Cuz the dang thing only costs $50 to own.
Anyway, you’re supposed to clean …

There’s some debate over whether off-the-shelf chemical drain cleaners that include bleach are bad for old metal pipes or not. There is no denying that they are bad for septic systems. Plus, the effect that they have on the environment is considerable as well.
Because of this, it’s best to tackle a clogged drain trap in one of two ways: with no chemicals or with all natural chemicals. Let’s talk about ways to unclog a p-trap.
The first step is to determine if it is your p-trap that is clogged and not …

Clean can be green, too. That’s a philosophy we try to stick to here at The Cleaning Frenzy Blog. Most of the time, that means using DIY all purpose cleaning solution (white vinegar and water). Other times it means choosing a greener alternative to household cleaning chemicals. But one way to begin greening the cleaning products in your home is to build a ready-to-go arsenal of green cleaning solutions. Make up all of these at once and utilize when appropriate!
Green “Soft Scrub” Alternative

Why bother cleaning inside your computer? Out of sight, out of mind, right? Wrong! Dust building up in your computer case can clog the fans and vents, meaning heat will build up and literally fry your machine. Even if your machine doesn’t go toast outright, the increased heat from the dust build up will significantly decrease the lifetime of your machine. So quit being lazy and get that screwdriver and canned air out.
All you have to do is pop the case open and spray away. Spray in every nook and …

Hey folks, earlier on the blog, I raved about the Bissell Little Green. Some of you later emailed me (why the email, people? Just use the comment box and share with the rest of the class!) and told me that you loved your Bissell Little Green, too, but have been having problems with the nozzle getting clogged. I did some reading and found that the sprayer not working on the Bissell Little Green is kind of a common problem. So common, in fact, that it happened to me the other …

I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of those greasy, filmy spray cleaners for dusting. When I was a kid, my mom would make me dust the entire house with a can of Endust and I’ve kind of grown averse to it since then. So, now I’ve been looking for a greener, more natural way to dust my furniture. I often use Swiffers, but they don’t really get a good deep clean in.
When cruising the forums the other day, I came upon a good idea for a homemade dusting solution:
Mix …

The Bissell Little Green is a dream. As a pet owner for a somewhat incontinent puppy and cat that urinates on furniture for revenge, I definitely owe my life to the Bissell Little Green. The Little Green is the perfect balance between portability, affordability and – best of all CLEANING POWER! I know this sounds like ad copy, but seriously – this $150 device paid for itself when I didn’t have to kick my $500 sofa to the curb or replace the $200 twin mattress on my guest bed.
